struct Expense {
var description: String
var amount: Double = 0.0
init (description: String) {
self.description = description
func calculateTaxes(percentage: Double) -> Double {
return percentage/100*amount
}
}
// add the calculateTaxes method here
// it should accept only one parameter named 'percentage' of type Double
}

Courses Plus Student 23,889 PointsHi there!
It looks like a simple mis-placed bracket. You need to close your init method with } before you write your calculateTaxes Method. Currently, your calculateTaxes method is placed within your init method.
The following adjustment should work for you.
struct Expense {
var description: String
var amount: Double = 0.0
init (description: String) {
self.description = description
}
func calculateTaxes(percentage: Double) -> Double {
return percentage/100*amount
}
}
I find that taking the time to properly indent code lines helps expose any mis-placed brackets. I hope this helps, and good luck!
