what is wrong with the challenge task of random function?

Hi Sonam,

The below code will allow you to pass this challenge:

import random

def random_item(number):
    return number[random.randint(0, (len(number)- 1))]

The squared brackets will create a place for the randomly selected number to be the index of your chosen argument for e.g number[3].
