Task 1: function returnValue(arg1){return arg1;} ... this is ok. Task 2....I do not get it.

231,269 PointsYou created the function already. Now you just call it, and assign the value it returns to a variable named echo.
Just add something like this (you can pick any string you like) after the definition you made in step 1:
var echo = returnValue("any string");

The parameter just needs to be passed in as a string as per the question.
