what is missing in my code.

the error message as below: swift_lint.swift:53:57: error: type 'UIBarButtonItem' has no member 'done' return UIBarButtonItem(title: title, style: UIBarButtonItem.done, target: nil, action: nil) ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ swift_lint.swift:55:57: error: type 'UIBarButtonItem' has no member 'plain' return UIBarButtonItem(title: title, style: UIBarButtonItem.plain, target: nil, action: nil) ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~

does that mean I need import any framework first?

buttons.swift
// Example of UIBarButtonItem instance
// let someButton = UIBarButtonItem(title: "A Title", style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil)

enum BarButton {
    case done(title: String)
    case edit(title: String)

    func button() -> UIBarButtonItem {
        switch self {
        case .done(let title):
            return UIBarButtonItem(title: title, style: UIBarButtonItem.done, target: nil, action: nil)
        case .edit(let title ):
            return UIBarButtonItem(title: title, style: UIBarButtonItem.plain, target: nil, action: nil)
        }
    }
}
let done = BarButton.done(title: "Save")
let button = done.button()

Hey there,

You're on the right track, but .done and .plain are members of BarButton not UIBarButtonItem. So, it's really a simple fix: Just delete UIBarButtonItem and leave just the member. Because you are in the Enum, you just need .done and .plain.

case .done(let title):
            return UIBarButtonItem(title: title, style: .done, target: nil, action: nil)
        case .edit(let title ):
            return UIBarButtonItem(title: title, style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil)

Keep coding! :) :dizzy:
