the syntax of image tag is as follows, <img src="" alt=""> image tag is self closing tag that's why we do not close it as we do with the other tags like , <h1></h1> src="" is the attribute of image tag just like alt="" src attribute is used for setting the path of the image that you want to use in your website. alt attribute is used for setting the alternative text to the image it means that some of the times it is not possible to the browser to display the image in that case it will display the alternative text so that the user can get an hint of the image.

Use , src= "path of the image" alt = "Alternative text"

Its simply means a url or path of the image which stands for Source. Check MDN documentation for HTML5 for more info
