var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + "#" + lastName;
Or (it can be achieved with String Literals as well)
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = `${id.toUpperCase()}#${lastName};
