String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if (noun.equals("hello"));
console.printf("first is equal to second");

You're on the right track, but not quite right.

There is no "noun" variable, to the best of my recollection. You'd have to format your if statement on string equality. 

if (firstExample == secondExample){
  console.printf("first is equal to second"); 
}
