what does reached end of file while parsing mean?

error. also why does the instructor no longer have the import line at the top?

It means you left out a closing curly brace } somewhere.

also why does the instructor no longer have the import line at the top?

It looks like we can't see lines 1 and 2 of his Workspace in the video. The "import java.io.Console;" line is likely on line 1 but it is not shown in the video.
