What does += mean. He does not explain it?

In the line self.score +=points;

is the same as saying

self.score = self.score + points

thanks. Do you know how to make custom shaped nodes in Xcode if it's possible ? Shapes like circles, pentagons, triangles etc ? without the invisible, squared border ?
