Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

What do I write here?

I want to progress

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
String firstName = "Mikael";
printf "Mikael can code in Java!"
 console.printf("Mikael, can code in Java!");

First part. So you have done the first part correct defining a string variable your name.

String firstName = "Mikael";

Second part. This is where you went wrong! Remove your second line and you are pretty much there.

String firstName = "Mikael";
console.printf("<YOUR NAME> can code in Java!");

Third part. On this part you simply change the <YOUR NAME> with the variable you just created, using the string formatter which you learnt in previous videos.

String firstName = "Mikael";
console.printf("%s can code in Java!", firstName);

Does that look familiar? The %s is the formatter for a simple string. The variable is firstName you created above.
