I'm pretty sure the plugin you're talking about is Query Monitor. It can be pretty helpful on top of having Debug mode on.

Thanks Joey. I was using Query Monitor but wasnt getting error messages. I think I had debug mode on as well. Just thought Zac might remember what he was using and fill me in.
