What am I doing wrong? It works in the workspace...

QUESTION:

Alright, let's finish making our menu. Combine the sundaes list into a new variable named display_menu, where each item in the list is rejoined together by a comma and a space (", ").

Then reassign the menu variable to use the existing variable and .format() to replace the placeholder with the new string in display_menu.

My answer is attached:

What am I doing wrong?? I works fine in the workspace, why doesn't the task like my code?

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}."
display_menu = menu.format(",".join(sundaes))

I think there are two things causing problems here:

  1. The challenge wants you to join with a comma followed by a space, but it looks like right now you're joining with only a comma.
  2. While your code is technically correct, the challenge asks you to either: (a) Create display_menu with the joined list, then reassign menu using format, or (b) Accomplish the whole task on the menu line. Since you're completing the task on the display_menu line, the challenge isn't seeing your completed code in menu. However you accomplish it, just make sure your completed menu is being assigned in your menu variable, and it should pass!
