Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Graduate 35,771 PointsHi Thea,
In this case, you’ve simply done more than the challenge asks you to do. You’ve nested your option elements within an optgroup element as opposed to directly within the select element. Get rid of the optgroup element and you should be fine.
For your own future projects there’s nothing wrong with you utilizing optgroups, but the tests for the quizzes have been written by coders like you and I, and they simply haven’t taken into account the idea that the user would have nested their option elements at a deeper level then what’s expected.
