I found the error message a bit confusing, especially when I started tinkering around with the code, but it looks like something like this will work:

let navigationLinks = document.querySelectorAll('nav a');
let galleryLinks;
let footerImages;

Hopefully that will get you on your way. :)

Just another hint: app.js only needs to be 3 lines long, and you don't need to change index.html at all. Lines 2 and 3 are going to be similar to line 1, just use the right selectors and let me know if you get stuck.
