var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith"; id += "#"; var userName = id.toUpperCase(); + lastName.toUpperCase();

var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith"; id += "#"; var userName = id.toUpperCase(); + lastName.toUpperCase();

This still says that Task 1 is no longer passing. I feel like I have it right though. Am I wrong? This should print out, "23188XTR#SMITH" right?

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
id += "#";
var userName = id.toUpperCase(); + lastName.toUpperCase();

You seem to have a typo.

On your last line there's a stray semicolon in the expression, before the plus sign.
