It looks like you've asked a previous version of this same question before, and then another one of the same. You might want to delete those duplicates.

The top line satisfies task 1, but the second line destroys the input and replaces it with "Purple" (you don't want to do that)!

The last line is just missing a quote mark before the word "is" (after the second comma)

favorite_color= input("what is your favorite color")

print("the color {} is a great color!".format(favorite_color))
