8,428 PointsUsing While Loop - Error says must use while loop
I think I have this correct, but the error I get says I need to use a while loop. As you can see I am using a while loop. Not sure what else to check. Any help would be appreciated.
<?php
include "helper.php";
/*
* helper contains the following variables:
* $item is an array that contains details about the library item
* $results is a PDOstatement object with our genre results.
*/
while ($r = $results->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)) {
$item["genres"] = [$r["genre_id"]=>$r["genre"]];
}

8,428 PointsOkay, I figured out the problem.
This code: $item["genres"] = [$r["genre_id"]=>$r["genre"]]; was overwriting the value inside the "genres" array. What I needed to do was add a value inside the associative array with this code: $item["genres"] [$r["genre_id"]]=$r["genre"]];
Not sure why the error showed not using a while loop.
