please what is wrong with my codes? i tried the similar thing from the turials but i doesn't work like expected and whenever i check the console too, they say no issues

const listItems=document.getElementsByTagName('li');

You should use event delegation by attaching the event listener to the ul/ol element and then use event.target to get the correct child list item.
