11,794 PointsUsing rem with absolute positioning
Is it a good practice to use rem with positioning absolute elements?

The "rem" unit only pertains to the basis of measurement of the values it is used on, which will typically be for font sizes.
Positioning (absolute or otherwise) has to do with where an element will be displayed on the page.
You might possibly use "rem" units to establish positioning offsets, but that choice would be based on other factors than just the use of positioning.
