I have made the child theme as instructed and copied the files from the download section. But when I activate the child theme from the dashboard and visit the site. The styling of the site is not to the mark. I guess the css is not loaded. Is there anyone who have faced the same problem. Could you suggest me some solutions.

could you please post the content of your head element within your header.php as well as the code within your functions.php? Thanks :)

In my experiences with child-themes (and obviously), something is broken. Either you're forgetting to include something, or there is something that needs to be included that isn't so apparent.
