Adam N I have, and I've also re-watched that video multiple times I don't even know where to begin.

First concentrate on this:

How do you use .toUpperCase( ) on the contents of the id variable?

Don't have a clue

Example of me using toUpperCase:

"hi world!".toUpperCase()
// returns "HI WORLD!"

I understand that but I don't have to slightest clue what the 1st question in the task wants me to do.

The video shows you the very stripped down basics and wants you to do something that is more advanced.

The task can be rewritten like this:

use the .toUpperCase method on the id variable and save the result to the userName variable
