Typing in print("Hello, Treehouse") - does not validate. Get a "Bummer!" msg about typing in that exact thing.

Tried print("Hello, Treehouse") AND def hi_fx(): print("Hello, Treehouse")

Neither validate.

But the message tells me to try print("Hello, Treehouse"). But, that does not validate.

Hey Karen, it isn't working because you are using that colon at the end. That may be required in some languages but Python doesn't require that. You'll surely master the syntax as you progress.

Thank you - the treehouse site grabbed a later try. Ultimately - def print(): print("Hello, Treehouse") worked
