Courses Plus Student 1,922 PointsTrying to understand this part of the solution...
Hey, so the part that loops through the student data and compares the user input... Is my understanding correct in that the loop continuously runs through the student.name data and when the user input matches it shows records?? I hope that made sense
var message = ''; var student; var search;
function print(message) { var outputDiv = document.getElementById('output'); outputDiv.innerHTML = message; }
function getStudentReport( student ) { var report = '<h2>Student: ' + student.name + '</h2>'; report += '<p>Track: ' + student.track + '</p>'; report += '<p>Points: ' + student.points + '</p>'; report += '<p>Achievements: ' + student.achievements + '</p>'; return report; }
while (true) { search = prompt('Type student name to view records. Type "quit" to end.'); if(search === null || search.toLowerCase() === 'quit') { break; } for (var i = 0; i < students.length; i += 1) { student = students[i]; if(student.name === search) { message = getStudentReport(student); print(message); } } }

") and shows the record if it matches. But it doesn't do this "continuously", it just checks each student (once each) when a search term is read.
