Hello Chucwuemeca,

levelScore += 1

is equivalent to:

levelScore = levelScore + 1

So what you´re trying to do with

totalScore = levelScore += 1

is equivalent to: 

totalScore = levelScore = levelscore + 1

and you cannot concatenate several assignment operators. But in your case it is also not needed, why don´t you just use:

totalScore = levelscore + 1
