To practice Wordpress a server place is needed. Is there any way explore this using only the Treehouse resourses?

In order for me to learn and practice Wordpress a server place is need. Is there any way explore this using only the Treehouse resourses? or do i need to pay a service or a fee in order to use/have it?

Hello Bruno,

You can create a local server on your PC and then install Wordpress. It is very easy and also it is very fast as you can do chages without internet. If you are on Windows or Mac, you can use Serverpress which is a free and easy to install software. You can also use Mamp and Wamp for mac and windows respectively. If you are on linux then first you will have to set up LAMP and then wordpress. Hope it helps.

Hello Bruno,

You can of course create a local sever on you PC or Mac and install Wordpress there. For Mac you can use Mamp and for Windows Wamp.
