To open Android studio provided in download links, legacy Java SE 6 is required.Should I download the latest studio?

To open Android studio provided in download links, legacy Java SE 6 is required. I checked on java website but that version is not available anymore. is there any other way to download that version or should I just download the latest Android studio?

Yup.

Yes, I had to download the latest from http://developer.android.com and then the SDK and AVD on the first run.
