I got it to pass once however I have no idea how I did it hence why I went back to do it again and now I haven't the slightest idea what I did before.
import datetime
## Examples
# to_string(datetime_object) => "24 September 2012"
# from_string("09/24/12 18:30", "%m/%d/%y %H:%M") => datetime
def to_string(datetime):
return (datetime.strftime('%d %B %Y'))
def from_string("09/24/12", "%d %B %Y"):
return datetime.strptime("09/24/12", "%d %B %Y")

Treehouse Moderator 68,441 PointsHey Jake Williams, two items to fix in from _string
:
- the parameters should be variable names and not string literals. These parameters should be used as arguments in the
strptime
method - the method
strptime
is a method of thedatetime
object not thedatetime
module. So usedatetime.datetime.strptime
