To Dan Gorgone and Pasan Premaratne:
Hello, I am planning to start a business. As an entrepreneur, what things should I do and avoid when seeking co-founders to develop some technology for me? I learned from the business session at TH that we need to be careful when seeking help. But I still want to know the right way to do that.
Thank you all, Jason

3,948 PointsIf you are looking for someone to develop for you, you may not be looking for a co-founder. You don't have to seek one, you might just want to find someone and give them projects to do, and pay them accordingly.
Having a co-founder might not be right if that person was not a part of coming up with the original idea, and choosing someone to share your business with can be dangerous.
As far as picking the right person to do the work you need done, you can post a job on http://careers.stackoverflow.com/products or similar sites, or you can look in your area. Find someone about to graduate from college, since the school year is almost over, many will be looking for employers just like you, and you can find some great talent.
Good luck with your business Jason, I hope you reach your goals and that I could be of some use!
