The Emulator isn't working

The android emulator doesn't show up on the screen, even after a very long time. What Do I Do?

Did you try to run the emulator alone, instead of using the run button? If the emulator works now it may be some error in your code. You can also try using the emulator i'm using https://www.genymotion.com/

Im new to android studio as well and don't really know much but i had the same problem. Try clicking on the event log on the bottom right of the android studio and whatever errors occurred should appear there. Just copy and paste it into google or on here.
