The check says I didn't set the top padding to 15 but my code shows "padding: 15px 10px;" -- what's wrong??

I'm unclear what's wrong with my code. I think I did what the challenge asked.

hey Emily Agostino , your padding declaration is actually fine - however you're applying it to the wrong element. the question wants you to add the padding to the links inside the nav - this would be:

nav a {}

but you instead selected the list items 

nav li {}

if you apply your code to the links then your code will past just fine. hope that helps and have a nice day ;)
