The "5 min set-up" has taken at least 4 hours?..

Trying to set-up Wordpress. The "5 min set-up" has taken at least 4 hours, so many glitches. Including Filezilla putting adware on my comp. Now I think I have files tranfered to filezilla but when I log into wordpress admin it does not take me the "Configuration" box like on the video. Instead, I just get the main WP dashboard and can't figure out where to configure.

I have done this in C-Panel: Step 4: Complete the task User "thepitty_tpp1" was added to the database "thepitty_tpp1".

This is what I'm seeing in Filezilla at end of transfer. It is also making me overwrite a lot of stuff. What is going on?!?!

Status: Disconnected from server Response: 421 Timeout - try typing a little faster next time Error: GnuTLS error -110: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated. Status: Server did not properly shut down TLS connection Error: Disconnected from server: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted

I am EXTREMELY frustrated with this entire process

What is your hosting company? Contacting them would be the first step.

And ask them what? It's webhostingforstudents.com.

Ask them what you have asked here. Ask them why the h%& the 5 minute install is taking 4 hours!

@Zac Gordon or @ZacGordon - I have contacted your company webhostingforstudents.com and not received any guidance. I am completely stuck. Filezilla put a ton of malware on my computer. I don't know where to go from here except to go to Lynda. If I do so I would like to tranfer my web URL and hosting to another company and get out of treehouse as well. Please provide some guidance. I have sent several emails to treehouse, submitted this post and emailed webhostingforstudents and received NO support.

Try deleting FileZilla and deleting the adware then go back and download FileZilla from this page
