Techdegree : iOS Developer

I am planing to start up with this "Techdegree : iOS Developer" ... Do I need a MacBook? Is iPad Pro 10.5" enough?

Hi Layth, thanks for your interest in the Treehouse iOS Techdegree program. As Jennifer noted, in order to do iOS programming using the Xcode programming tool provided by Apple, you do need a machine that can run macOS. Any MacBooks or iMac that's from recent couple of years should be fine. Naturally MacBook Pros and iMacs would give you higher performance than MacBook Airs or MacBooks as Xcode is a demanding application itself.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, your iPad will not be sufficient. You must be able to run Xcode. As of right now, Xcode can only be run on macOS so you will need a computer that can run macOS.

Happy coding! :sparkles:
