Superclass and Base class

This question is related to the tree node diagram in this vide where Superclass is at the top and the Base class is at the bottom. I was expecting that the Base class is at the top because Pasan said that the "base type" is at the top and the subclasses are below it. So is Pasan saying that the Superclass is the same as the "base type" and the Base class the same as the "subclass" since in the diagram the Base class is at the bottom of the tree and subclasses are located on the downward nodes?
