Submit for 'Save' button

Is it possible to do a submit type event for the save button, so that after editing the name you can either click "save" or hit enter?

You didn't show the original code, but I'd guess you might be talking about a button element that has the legend "submit" on it.

A "submit" event is only generated for an input element of type submit. A button element wouldn't generate that type of event even though it might look the same on the page.
