Treehouse Moderator 68,441 PointsHi Stephanie, the challenge checker evaluates your code through execute and inspecting the results. Using print or input is rarely needed in code challenges.
Your code is really close to the solution. On this particular challenge the checker is looking for the format method used directly on the string "Treehouse loves {}".
In subsequent challenges reassigning back to subject would have worked:
subject = subject.format(name)
