Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

String Formatter

How to use string formatter?

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
String firstName="abhilakshay";
console.printf("firstName can code in Java!",firstName);

In order to use the string formatter, you need to use placeholders in the formatting string passed to console.printf, then provide variables or values to fill it in after the formatting string.

In this case, use the placeholder %s, because you need a placeholder for a string.

The line should look like this:

console.printf("%s can code in Java!",firstName);

I tested this, it should work.

i did the same but it again shows me the error!

This is the exact file contents that I used to beat this challenge:

// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
String firstName = "Zack";
console.printf("%s can code in Java!", firstName);

I did test this exact code, I promise, and it should work to beat this challenge
