Java Java Data Structures - Retired Getting There Class Review

Step 2 (adding the constructor); is my syntax incorrect? I get the idea but I think I'm implementing it incorrectly. :c

I seem to be missing something here, as I keep getting errors.

com/example/BlogPost.java
package com.example;
import java.util.Date;

public class BlogPost {
                       private static String mAuthor;
  private static String mTitle;
  private static String mBody;
  private static String mCategory;
  private static java.util.Date mCreation_Date;

BlogPost post = new BlogPost(String title, String body, String category, long creation_date);
  mTitle = title;
  mBody = body;
  mCategory = category;
  mCreation_Date = creation_date;
}

Hello Katriel,

When creating a constructor you do not need to create a new instance and you are missing author in your constructor. Below is the code I used to pass the challenge.

package com.example;
import java.util.Date;

public class BlogPost {
  private String mAuthor;
  private String mTitle;
  private String mBody;
  private String mCategory;
  private java.util.Date mCreation_Date;

  public BlogPost(String author, String title, String body, String category, java.util.Date creation_date) {
    mAuthor = author;
    mTitle = title;
    mBody = body;
    mCategory = category;
    mCreation_Date = creation_date;
  }

}
