1,974 PointsSplit Method
Merry Christmas! So, I am being asked to split the list then assign them to "sundaes". The splitting part is simple but assigning the new list should be as simple as copy and pasting the adjusted list to "sundaes", correct? Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
"banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white".split("; ")
sundaes = ['banana_split'; 'hot_fudge'; 'cherry'; 'malted'; 'black_and_white']

13,746 PointsYou are supposed to use the method called split() on the string variable "available".
The method will split the string on whatever argument you give it.
I would recommend watching the previous video on Splitting and joining again.
Using the python documentation is also very helpful: https://docs.python.org/3/library/stdtypes.html#str.split If you need more help let me know :)
