Sound outruns sight

On several videos, exclusively in this Usability series, the display will freeze while the sound keeps going. The sound does not stop when I pause it, and I have to skip to an earlier time in the video. Often there are further difficulties (i.e. after I skip back, it will not play). This is very frustrating.

Have you attempted to reboot your computer? This sounds like a resource drain and not a website issue.

Also check to make sure you are not running any "high" level programs that could be pulling your system resources down.

My pleasure! :)

I have not tried that yet, but I will! I have had an Illustrator window open, as I am working on a project. Thank you!

p.s. Refreshing the page usually works, but once it kept on going during and past refreshing, and during the video starting over!

I rebooted my computer and closed Illustrator, and I haven't had the problem since. Thank you!

:)
