JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Making Decisions with Conditional Statements Super Conditional Challenge

Something is wrong with this challenge. I cannot proceed

I've adjusted the script to get the proper alert, yet it keeps saying, "bummer" as though I have the wrong answer. Fine then I dont care if it thinks I have the wrong answer. But the problem is that it's keeping me stuck here I can't bypass this challenge and move on. It's eating up my monthly membership and I'm getting pissed! My code:

var money = 9; var today = 'Friday'

if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today === 'Friday' || money !== 100 ) { alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else { alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home."); }

script.js
var money = 9;
var today = 'Friday'

if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today === 'Friday' || money !== 100 ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

Hey David, I gave it a try and got it to pass. It looks like you have it right beside this unneeded condition money !== 100

It will display the correct alert without it and it should pass correctly.

var money = 9;
var today = 'Friday'

if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

yeah you're right Larry. Thank you much. That question is flawed. money is definitely apart of the answer it says to fix: "I don't have enough" whatever enough is! I made an assumption given where it was stuck initially at 100; They dont say how much money is needed.

They really should allow you to escape from that. If you hadn't come along who knows how long I'd been stuck here!

Thank you again!!!

David, I am glad I could help get you unstuck! No worries, I have gotten stuck like that before it's never fun! All the best!
