These instructions appear to be for task 2 but the code that would have been needed to pass task 1 doesn't seem to be present.

Perhaps you overlooked the message saying: "Important: In each task of this code challenge, the code you write should be added to the code from the previous task."

So you need the code that passed task 1, then in addition, you will add more code to use the value obtained in task 1 and assign it to the correct element property.
