There just can't be a space on either side of the =. Try this:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
  <!-- Note the closing / at the end of the following tag. That's just a preference thing. I like to do it, but you don't have to -->
  <meta charset="utf-8"/>
</head>
  <body>
  </body>
</html>

Oops,

Didn't catch that.

Hey Sofia,

Try writing the character set using capital letters.

<head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8">
</head>

What's in the quotes is case-insensitive. Thus, it's inconsequential whether it's written as "utf-8" or "UTF-8". The problem lies in that there can't be a space on either side of the =
