"Set style as default" is missing from Edit menu

The video shows you how to remove the background to a rectangle and then set this change as the default style to avoid having to constantly remove borders from additional rectangles drawn. I think you need to work around this by going to Layer/Style/Set as default style. This is what I did anyway, but I'm new to Sketch and might be wrong.

I noticed that as well. Probably due to the fact that the tutorial was created using Sketch 3.x and the version you most likely were on was 46. (After Sketch 3.8.3, they changed the naming convention to XX.X). I noticed a few of these changes to the interface throughout the tutorial.
