1,730 PointsRestart course video from the beginning
With a $25 per month basic subscription, it looks as if I am only allowed to watch any given course video module once. Is this right?
I started Zac's WordPress Theme Development course more or less by accident, before I was ready for it. I paused it and went back to take other more basic courses first, but when I came back to it I found that the first module, which covers downloading the example static html and css files that will later be converted to a WordPress theme, had already run to completion. Also, there seems to be no way to get back to it in streaming mode, because for that course the "Start Course" button has been permanently replaced by a "Resume" button that takes me directly to the second module every time I click on the course link.
So it looks as if the only way I will be able to take this course, starting with the first module, will be to download it, which requires an upgrade to the $49 per month Pro subscription. Is this by design, or am I missing something?

Even with the basic subscription, you can watch and re-watch videos at your pleasure. You will just have to use the navigation links in the expanded course descriptions, or the navigation bar above the video window. Each circle is a step in the course. If completed, it will have a checkmark, but you can always click and repeat any part of any section. :)

Yes, I understand this navigation feature and have used it often. But I think Zac's WordPress Theme Development course may be something of a special case. It's a very long multi part course, with each part divided into several subsections. Since I have already started this course once before, whenever I click on a link to it I get a "Resume" button instead of a "Start Course" button, and the "Resume" button always takes me to the second major module of the course. Since this module has internal sub- modules of its own, the streaming software seems to be handling it like a separate standalone course, with no navigation links back to earlier major divisions. And yet the library link is still treating it as a single course that I have already started, and so gives me no option to start again at the beginning.
The only solution I can see for this, apart from a software change in the navigation framework for multi-part courses, would be for someone at WordPress to go in and unset the "in progress" flag for this course in my user account.
Is there any way I can request this? I would prefer not to have to upgrade my subscription to solve this problem. Also I am worried now that even if I did upgrade, the library link would still not let me get back to the first module of this course to download it.

The courses are broken down into sections of common subject matter. To go back to a previous section, you just need to click on the Title of the course above in the top navigation (above the video) on the left side. This will take you back to the main course screen.
From there, you can open (expand) each section and then on any of the videos in that section. So, to go back to the very beginning of the course, you'd click on WordPress Theme Development and then The first video in the first section.

39,021 PointsJohn, to expand on Jason's comment - when you're on the course page, instead of clicking on the Resume Course button, simply scroll down to see the list of all the lessons in expandable sections.
The Resume Course button is simply meant to be a shortcut to the latest thing you've been working on.

835 PointsI find the navigation for Treehouse very cumbersome as well (but I'm glad the content is very good). But it's definitely intended (and possible) to review course videos as you like.

5,708 PointsThank you. I was trying to figure this out myself. After clicking on the title (above the video) it took me to the main course. From there I scrolled down under the heading "About this Course," then I clicked on the blue colored font number under first sub-module, and selected the first title. I appreciate it.
