21,478 PointsResource id in holder?
Hi everyone,
In this step, we are assigning
holder.temperatureLabel = (TextView) convertView.findViewById(R.id.temperatureLabel);
I have noticed we have two resources with the same temperatureLabel, one in the activity_main layout and another in the daily_list_item layout, how does the ide know we want to assign just the second?
Thanks!!

Courses Plus Student 7,254 PointsThat is a good question.
When you call:
holder.temperatureLabel = (TextView) convertView.findViewById(R.id.temperatureLabel);
You have a variable called "convertView" which is a view. When you call the method "findViewById()" on it, it is searching for "R.id.temperatureLabel" that is a part of that view (that is, "convertView"). So, whichever layout that corresponds to convertView will be the temperatureLabel that it finds.
