JavaScript React Components (2018) Managing State and Data Flow Building the Statistics Component

remove lines after clicking on buttons

on this react course after I click a button I get different colored lines appearing for a second. I have tried to add various css styles to remove them like: :focus, :active { outline: none !important; border: none !important; box-shadow:none !important; }

to no avail.

I know this is an old question, but for anyone else who is confused by this: this is React Developer Tools. In your components tab in Chrome Dev Tools, there is a settings icon (a grey machine gear). Click that and choose the general menu tab. There, you will see an option that says "Highlight updates when components render." That is the flash of color that you are seeing. If you don't want to see the borders, you can disable them by unchecking the box.
