Hi there, malcolm henry! To accomplish this task, you will need an if statement. You should be checking if the length of product_idea is less than or equal to 3 characters. We want to raise the ValueError if the name of the idea is too short. We're considering three letters too short :smiley:

Hint :bulb: Remember that you can use len() to get the length of a string.
