use the .remove() method to remove last item from the list

lists.py 
states = [
    'ACTIVE',
    ['red', 'green', 'blue'],
    'CANCELLED',
    'FINISHED',
    5,
]

First you need to know where you want to remove, so you write "states" and then use the .remove() method. Inside the parenthesis you choose what you want to remove, (5).

states = [
    'ACTIVE',
    ['red', 'green', 'blue'],
    'CANCELLED',
    'FINISHED',
    5,
]

states.remove(5)
