Python deleting items from lists

Help! I can't figure out why the code challenge isn't accepting my code.

Just a simple delete list item.

Work spaces seems to accept it without any syntax error.

messy = [5, 2, 8, 1, 3]  

del messy [2]

Bummer! Did you use 'del'?
