5,555 PointsPython datetime object to string
I am not producing an output. I have gotten an error that the tuple extends past the index range.
Not really sure where to go from here. I am assuming the .strftime is not accessing the data properly.
## Examples
# to_string(datetime_object) => "24 September 2012"
# from_string("09/24/12 18:30", "%m/%d/%y %H:%M") => datetime
import datetime
def to_string(date_obj):
format_of_date = '%m, %B, %Y'
date_str = '{} {} {}'.format(date_obj.strftime(format_of_date))
return date_str

22,076 PointsHi,
you don't need to use .format since .strftime already trasnform your datetime object into a string:
def to_string(date_obj):
fmt = '%d %B %Y'
return date_obj.strftime(fmt)
"strftime" return a string representing the date.
